All vans to be removed from Victory Monument in October

BANGKOK, 25 July 2016 (NNT) – Authorities have confirmed that the operation to relocate passenger vans from the Victory Monument will be conducted on a trial basis in September before it takes full effect on October 25.

Deputy Commander of the Second Cavalry Division King’s Guard Col Suwit Ketsri, in his capacity as chairman of the committee in charge of reorganizing public vans, has met with the Transport Ministry, the Department of Land Transport, the Royal Thai Police, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and other related agencies in order to discuss the management of vans around the Victory Monument.
