At least 17 schoolgirls perish in fire, five injured, two missing
A schoolgirl boarding-house in Chiang Rai was burnt down late Sunday night, killing 17 girls and injuring five others. Two girls were still unaccounted for, police said.
The fire broke out at the boarding-house of Pithakkiart Witthaya School in Wiengpapao distirct at 11 pm, police said.
