New Democracy activists released after brief detention

A group of political activists detained by the military on Monday morning as they were heading for the Rajabhakti Park in Hua Hin by train purportedly to “search for cheats” in the park project have been released.

Their release Sunday night followed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the military and the group, led by Mr Sirawath “Ja New” Serivivat of the New Democracy Movement.
