NBTC to issue 4G license for AIS subsidiary

BANGKOK, 24 November 2015 (NNT) – The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) will issue a 1800-MHz license to Advance Wireless Network Company Limited, a subsidiary of AIS, after the firm has paid the first installment of the winning auction price.

NBTC secretary general Thakorn Tanthasit said the license is effective from November 26, 2015 until September 15, 2033. Winners of 1800-MHz licenses are legally obliged to charge their 4G fees lower than 69 satang a minute for voice service and 26 satang a megabyte for data service.
