The Australian coalition government is on track to pass a draft law revoking the Australian citizenship of dual nationals fighting alongside extremist groups abroad after adopting committee recommendations, local media reported Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The legislation, backed by the ruling Labor Party in September and expected to be brought before the lower house later this week, strips dual nationals who have been convicted of fighting for terrorist groups abroad or engaged in terrorism-related activities at home of their Australian citizenship.
