Australian held for ‘robbing’ bank for his flight home

An Australian national was arrested Monday after allegedly getting away with Bt158,000 in cash after a 12-second hold up with a fake gun at a Thanachart Bank branch in Phaya Thai district.

However, he was captured shortly after by a couple of good samaritans and a patrolling police officer.
