Royal Thai Police commissioner Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmoung assured today that the proposed stripping of the former premier Thasksin Shinawatra’s police rank is still underway but needs cautious scrutinisation.

He said the proposal is now with the Council of State to scrutinise on two to three legal issues.
