Security tightened after Thaksin’s passports were revoked

The Royal Thai Police commissioner has beefed up security in the capital and the provinces fearing that perpetrators might create unrest in the country after the Foreign Ministry revoked the passports of fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

He ordered special action force police units to be set up and required that the special forces will be able to counter any untoward resistance promptly.
