Buddhist leaders join World Vesak celebration

BANGKOK, 30 May 2015 (NNT) – Buddhist leaders from around the world has come together to participate at the 2015 Bangkok Declaration of the 12th International Buddhist Conference on the occasion of the Vesak Day.

Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) Rector Phra Brahmapundi has revealed after the conclusion of the 12th International Buddhist Conference that was attended by Buddhist leaders and delegates from 85 nations worldwide, saying that the 2015 Bangkok Declaration was based off the Thai-Pali version of the Tripitaka, in celebration of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s fifth cycle birthday.
