8 provinces damaged by tropical storm

BANGKOK, 8 April 2015 (NNT) – A tropical storm has battered eight provinces in the northern and northeastern parts of Thailand. One death has been reported in Sakaeo province.

Director-General of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Chatchai Phromlert said eight provinces—most of them in the northeastern region—had been affected by a tropical storm from 7-8 April 2015. Sakaeo and Uttaradit had been hit the hardest by the storm with one death. More than 600 houses had been damaged by heavy rains and gusts, said the director-general.
