THAILAND: The latest figures from the Department Of Tourism show Russian visitor numbers have plunged significantly in recent months but figures overall are up on the same period last year thanks to an increase in tourists visiting the Kingdom from mainland China.

Department of Tourism Director-General Second Lieutenant Anuphab Kesornsuwan said the number of tourists visiting Thailand in January was 2.65 million, an increase of 16.30% from the same period last year.
