Details of reimbursements for buyers of World Cup set-top boxes coming on Monday

BANGKOK, 14 June 2014 (NNT) – RS Plc. promised on Friday to compensate those who had purchased its World Cup set-top boxes, after the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) agreed to pay the company to have all football matches broadcast through free TV.

It was earlier anticipated that only selected World Cup matches would be aired on free television channels, but the NBTC’s negotiation with RS to allow all matches to be aired on free TV meant buyers of the set-top boxes purchased them in vain.
