Bangkok motorcycle taxi drivers in training to help police

BANGKOK, 27 April 2014 (NNT) —Wangthonglang police station is initiating a campaign to allow motorcycle taxi drivers to volunteer to help it maintain security surveillance, in areas under its supervision.

Pol Col Tianchai Kamapaso, Deputy Commander of Metropolitan Division 4, presided over the launch of the “Wangthonglang Safety Campaign with Motorcycle Taxi Volunteers” which is to invite motorcycle taxi drivers to participate in crime suppression in their communities. It’s expected that they will concentrate on banks, convenient stores, gold shops, and gas stations.
