Thai Constitutional Court voids February 2 general election

BANGKOK, March 21 – Thailand’s Constitution Court today decided by six against three votes to nullify the Feb 2 general election, reasoning a failure to hold the balloting nationwide on the same day as stipulated by the Constitution.

The six judges who ruled to annul the poll were chief judge Charoon Inthacharn, Charan Pakdithanakul, Nurak Mapraneet, Boonsong Kulbuppa, Supoj Kaimuk and Thaweekiat Meenakanit.
