An elderly German national suffered the partial traumatic amputation of his right foot after his motorbike was hit by a high-powered bike travelling at high speed in Pattaya on Saturday.

The collision occurred on Sukhumvit Road, close to the entrance of Soi 87. The high-powered Honda of 25-year-old Khun Apiwat collided with the moped of 72-year-old Peter Julian as he came out of the side road and joined the main carriageway.
