Criminal Court approves arrest warrants for ex-MP Puttipong, key protesters

BANGKOK, Feb 19 – Thailand’s Criminal Court today approved arrest warrants for three key protesters, including former Democrat MP Puthipong Punnakan, for disrupting the Jan 26 advance election in Bangkok.

Mr Puthipong and two others, Thinakorn Plodpai and Sombat Thabprayoon, were charged with obstructing the election in the area of Chokchai police station – a criminal offence liable to imprisonment for at least three years.
