Bangkok police provide protester security at Victory Monument

BANGKOK, Jan 21 – Police were deployed today at a major rally site of the anti-government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) to ensure protesters’ safety following recent bombing attacks against them resulting in a number of injuries.

PDRC key leader Thaworn Senneam, held a news conference with Senior Pol Col Chusak Techarakpong, deputy commander of the Metropolitan Police Division 1, regarding security measures at the Victory Monument after Sunday’s grenade attack which wounded almost 30 people.
