Thai Army Chief Prayuth denies negotiating with protest leader Suthep

BANGKOK, 11 December 2013 (NNT) — Army Commander-in-Chief says he has no authority to negotiate with Suthep Thaugsuban, the secretary-general of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).

Recent reports have confirmed that Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha did not meet with Suthep to discuss the ongoing political upheaval. According to the C-in-C, the matter would first have to be agreed upon by all of the nation’s defense forces.
