DSI to name financial supporters of Bangkok protests

BANGKOK, 17 November 2013 (NNT) – The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) says it will gather solid evidence before revealing the name list of businessmen who sponsor anti-government protests at Ratchadamnoen road. The protest leaders and sponsors might face legal actions if found violating security provisions of the criminal code.

DSI Director-General Tharit Phengdit said on Sunday it was too soon to disclose the name list of protest sponsors and it took time to investigate the sponsorship. The DSI were transcribing the protest leaders’ speeches and finding connections between the sponsors and the rallies, the official said.
