Phuket, 18 April 2013 (NNT) – Officials have rescued a female dolphin that was hurt and stranded on Nai Harn beach, Phuket Province.

According to officials, a female dolphin was found on the Nai Harn beach after having been washed ashore. They believed she had been thrown by strong waves against the rocks, as she had several bruises on her body. She was taken to a rescue center for basic treatment. She also had breathing difficulty and was given antibiotic and vitamins to help her recover.

The 8-10 year old female dolphin weighed around 60 kilograms.
