Heavy rain forecast for next few days in Thailand

BANGKOK, 28 January 2013 (NNT) – The Meteorological Department of Thailand is issuing warnings for the entire country to brace for heavy rains and strong wind during the next few days.

The weather bureau has reported that a high pressure cell prevails over the upper parts of Thailand, bringing thundershower to the North, Northeast, East and Central Plains. Following the bout of rains, the temperature in the country is also set to drop by 2-4 degree Celsius.

In the South, a northeastern monsoon is expected to intensify, generating more heavy rain and strong wind. All shipping should proceed with caution during January 29-31.
