UTTARADIT, 10 August 2012 (NNT) – A mild earthquake was detected in Uttaradit Province earlier this morning, but no damage or injury has been reported.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 magnitude on the Richter scale was reported in Ban Kok District, Uttaradit Province, at 8 a.m. Authority said residents did not feel the tremors from the quake as the epicenter was in the forest.
A geologist from Chulalongkorn University has said people should not panic over the earthquake report as the tremor is very mild.
