Thai Government to consider revoking emergency decree in far South

BANGKOK, March 5 – Thai Deputy Prime Minister Gen Yuthasak Sasiprapa said the government is considering revoking the state of emergency imposed in the violence-plagued far South if the situation returns to normal.

Gen Yutthasak made the statement following a national security meeting with the Internal Security Operations Commands (ISOC) Friday regarding the insurgency in the three southern border provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.
