The Appeals Court yesterday upheld the death sentence for an Iranian man caught smuggling 4.3 kilograms of crystal meth worth Bt10 million into Thailand, then commuted it to life in prison due to his useful confession.
Alireza Mahmoud Pour Emam Chaei, 28, was arrested on July 30, 2009 at Suvarnabhumi Airport with 4.3kg of ice hidden in a bag of snacks.
