Panel to rule on Sarah Carter’s death in Thailand

An expert panel is due to meet today to rule on the cause of death of six tourists in Thailand, including New Zealander Sarah Carter.

It is understood the results of extensive sample testing into the sudden deaths – by Thai and international laboratories – are now complete, although not all samples returned conclusive results.

Ms Carter, 23, died, and her Kiwi friends Emma Langlands and Amanda Eliason became gravely ill while on holiday in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, in February.
