Death toll in Vietnam reaches 17 in aftermath of tropical storm
Hanoi – Vietnamese authorities recovered the body of a man swept away by floods last week, bringing the death toll from Tropical Storm Haima to 17, officials said Monday.
Seven of the victims were struck by lightning as they worked in rice fields, two were killed by a whirlwind and one was caught in a flash flood, the National Flood and Storm Control Committee said.
