New computer system to boost border security in Southern Thailand

ํYALA, 22 April 2011 (NNT) – Immigration Department Deputy Police Major General M.L. Pansak Kasemsant has welcomed a new computer system called P.BIG, which enhances the identification process and is linked to the Immigration Offices nationwide. It is said to boost security over the Thai-Malaysian border in Yala province.

The P.BIG has been introduced in addition to the existing IMM system. It is the state of the art computer program which the Department of Immigration expects to help make the job easier and more precise in identifying any foreign nationals entering Thailand.
