Thai Police Crackdown Busts Restaurant Forcing Girls into Sex Service

The Human Trafficking Suppression Police in Pattaya have been very active in Pattaya during the past 18 months with many arrests targeting many illegal brothels that are using legitimate bussinesses as a front.

The crackdown has now expanded across the whole country with the most recent case involving a brothel in the central Suphanburi province,which resulted in the Human Trafficking Suppression Police rescuing more than 30 Laotian girls.

They have arrested 48-year Surapha Pudpa, the owner of a restaurant called ‘Phraew’, along with two staff members, for their involvement in sex trade.

Police said a man notified officers after he recently visited the restaurant, where a man at the restaurant asked if he wanted to sleep with a Laotian girl.
