2 countries issue travel warning against traveling to Thai-Cambodian border

BANGKOK, 23 February 2011 (NNT) – Travel warning has been issued against the disputed area on the Thai-Cambodian border by two countries, which are Australia and Taiwan, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

Following the TAT board meeting, TAT Governor Surapol Svetasreni confirmed that the enforcement of the Internal Security Act (ISA) in seven districts of Bangkok had not created any concern among tourists. Besides, no travel alert has been issued against the capital city by any country despite the current political demonstrations.
