CCTV Captures Foreign Suspect in Alleged Mobile Phone Theft at Pattaya Cafe
PATTAYA, Thailand – Authorities in Pattaya have launched a search for a foreign national accused of stealing a mobile phone from a local coffee shop, following the circulation of security camera footage capturing the alleged crime. The incident, which took place on August 3, prompted the cafe owner to file a formal police report on Wednesday, August 5, after attempting to resolve the matter through community channels.

According to the establishment’s management, the suspect initially entered the premises as a regular patron, ordering and paying for a beverage before departing normally. He reportedly returned to the cafe a short time later, taking advantage of a moment when the staff was distracted while assisting another customer. Surveillance footage clearly shows the man approaching the counter, taking an unattended mobile phone, and quickly fleeing the scene without drawing immediate attention.

The online post urged anyone who recognizes the individual to intervene and persuade him to return the device. Meanwhile, the cafe owner has officially lodged a complaint with local police, providing the digital evidence to aid in the ongoing investigation and track down the individual responsible for the theft.
