The buffalo, named “Chao Kong,” was secured by villagers following the incident. Standing approximately 160 centimeters tall and weighing between 700-800 kilograms, the animal had been purchased by the family as an investment for breeding services. Family members suggested the buffalo’s aggressive behavior may have stemmed from frustration after not being taken out for mating during the busy rice harvest season. The animal’s owner has since stated she no longer wishes to keep the buffalo following the double tragedy.
