In a related development, His Majesty the King has directed government agencies, including the military, to expedite rehabilitation efforts for properties damaged in the clashes. Assistance is also being extended to the families of fallen soldiers.
One such initiative includes the construction of a new home for the family of Private First Class Theerayut Krachangthong, a 22-year-old soldier recently killed in a skirmish at the Tahong 2 base in Si Sa Ket’s Kantharalak district. The soldier’s family, residing in a dilapidated shack without electricity or running water in Buri Ram’s Lahan Sai district, will now receive proper housing as part of the royal-supported relief efforts.
