A 33-year-old motorcyclist met a tragic end on Saturday afternoon after losing control of his high-powered bike and slamming into a metal barrier in Doi Saket district, Chiang Mai. The violent collision proved instantly fatal, severing the rider’s head upon impact before his motorcycle erupted in flames.

Doi Saket police deputy inspector Pol Lt Ittikay Rungklang responded to the scene alongside medical personnel from the local hospital, where they encountered rescue crews from the Sawang Samret Chiang Mai Foundation battling the blazing wreckage with chemical fire suppressants. The motorcycle sustained catastrophic damage in the crash.
Authorities identified the deceased as K. K., whose body was found near the obliterated guardrail bearing catastrophic trauma including complete decapitation. Preliminary investigations suggest Kritsada failed to negotiate a curve, sending his bike careening into the steel barrier at high speed.
