Czech Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for Visa Overstay
PHUKET – Immigration authorities arrested a 30-year-old Czech national at Phuket International Airport in the early hours of June 9, 2025, after discovering she had overstayed her visa by 36 days.

The tourist, whose name was not released by authorities, was detained and later transferred to Saku Police Station for further legal processing. Immigration officials have reiterated the importance of adhering to visa regulations and warned that overstays may result in legal penalties, including fines, deportation, and blacklisting from future entry into the country.
