PATTAYA, May 21 – In a sweeping nighttime operation, over 50 suspects were detained during a coordinated crackdown on beachfront prostitution along Pattaya’s bustling shoreline. The multi-agency raid involved officers from Pattaya City Police, Tourist Police, Immigration Bureau, and provincial social welfare officials, aiming to curb illegal solicitation that has fueled violent incidents and damaged the city’s tourism reputation.

All detainees were processed at Pattaya City Police Station before being transferred to Chonburi Provincial Social Development and Human Security officials for fines and legal action. Police cited recurring prostitution-related crimes, including robberies and assaults, as the impetus for the crackdown.
