Thai Government Launches Rainmaking Efforts to Combat PM 2.5

The government is ramping up efforts to combat PM 2.5 air pollution, targeting the harmful impacts of fine particulate matter on public health. Led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the campaign places emphasis on enhancing the effectiveness of cloud-seeding operations in pollution-affected areas.

Thailand Plans Corn Import Ban to Combat PM2.5 Pollution

In collaboration with the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation and the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand under the Ministry of Transport, the program intends to refine rainmaking techniques while ensuring minimal disruption to aviation routes in Bangkok’s busy airspace. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Itthi Sirilatthayakorn made clear the need to overcome logistical challenges to ensure timely and effective measures for controlling pollution.
