A 37-year-old man allegedly shot dead his own 79-year-old father in a heated argument after the victim allegedly assaulted his wife in Phetchaburi’s Tha Yang district on Saturday night.

Following the report of a fatal shooting at 8.30pm, police rushed to the one-storey house in Tambon Tha Yang to find the body of Prasert Taeng-on with five gunshot wounds to his chest, stomach, left hip, and both arms. Officers collected five spent cartridges from the scene.
