A strong earthquake measuring magnitude 6.5 struck western Indonesia on Wednesday, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The quake hit 11 miles off the town of Sigli in North Sumatra and was at the depth of 1.2 miles, the independent scientific agency said, adding damage could have been caused.
