Chiang Mai to be turned into Startup District

BANGKOK, 7 November 2016 (NNT) – The Ministry of Industry is urgently creating startups and developing Chiang Mai province into a startup district.

Minister of Industry Atchaka Sibunruang on Monday presided over the opening ceremony of a seminar on startups at the Impress International Convention Center in Chiang Mai. The minister said at the event that the ministry had a goal to create more than 4,000 startups in Thailand by the year 2017.
