Police in Bangkok establish safety zones around Grand Palace

BANGKOK, 24 October 2016 (NNT) – Bangkok’s Metropolitan Police Commissioner has urged all sectors to organize the area surrounding the Grand Palace into safety zones for the public.

Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathaworn revealed that safety zones have been established to monitor those traveling to the Grand Palace. Safety zones consist of CCTV cameras and officials conducting searches as appropriate. He also advised the public to study safety procedures before visiting the Grand Palace, utilize public transportation to mitigate traffic congestion, and follow any safety procedures as directed by officials.
