MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Islamic State (ISIL, or Daesh in Arabic) terrorists killed 36 civilians in the jihadist group’s first major offensive in central Afghanistan, media reported on Wednesday citing local authorities.
According to the TOLOnews broadcaster, Daesh militants, that have been previously active in eastern Afghanistan, attacked Chaghcharan district of the central Ghor province on Tuesday evening. The Afghan security forces responded to the attack, killing one of Daesh commanders.
