Northern, northeastern provinces prepares for Dianmu storm

BANGKOK, 19 August 2016 (NNT) – Twenty-nine provinces in the northern and northeastern regions are bracing for heavy rains from tropical storm Dianmu from August 19th – 21st.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) is now providing 24-hour situation monitoring in 13 provinces in the northern region, and 16 provinces in the northeastern region, in anticipation of tropical storm Dianmu from August 19th – 21st.

Emergency evacuation plans are in place to transport the affected residents to shelters, while all related agencies are urged to work together to provide rapid response to natural disasters.
