BANGKOK, 19 August 2016 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan has clarified that the 17 warrants issued on August 18th were not related to the attacks in the seven southern provinces.

Gen Prawit said the warrants were issued by the military court on grounds of insurgency. He said authorities have been closely monitoring the suspects and had sufficient evidence to file the charges.
