Prayut sends condolences to Merkel over German carnage

PRIME MINISTER Prayut Chan-o-cha has sent a message of condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel following the carnage at a Munich shopping mall on Friday, in which nine people were shot dead and 16 wounded.

“I have learned with profound sadness the loss of lives and injuries caused by the cowardly acts. In this sorrowful moment, I, on behalf of the Thai government and Thai people, would like to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency, and through you, the bereaved families of those who were affected by the violent acts,” the PM said in his letter.
