Heavy rains hit Tak

TAK, 12 June 2016 (NNT) – Heavy rains in Tha Song Yang in Tak province have caused strong currents in rivers, prompting provincial administrative officers to warn the local people to closely monitor the situation.

People, especially those who live near the Mei river, were told to stay vigilant to flooding after heavy rains fell for three consecutive days. Some roads, residential areas as well as schools in the district have been submerged. The heavy rains caused a road accident which killed one person.
