BANGKOK, 8 February 2016 (NNT) – The Kingdom saw a surge in tourism as Thai people of Chinese descent held merit-making ceremonies and made family trips on Chinese New Year.
Chinese shrines across Yala Municipality were reportedly packed with Chinese Thais who arrived with their families to make merit. They all dressed in red and brought along flowers, food and fruits for offering to sacred deities.
