A man who allegedly assaulted a woman in the underground train and whose bullying exploits became a subject of widespread criticism in the social media has been held in police custody.

The 38-year old Laotian suspect, Veeraphan Inthawong aka Siam gangster, was apprehended by police on Tuesday. He was presented to the media at the metropolitan police bureau on Wednesday.
