Bangkok Erawan Shrine bomb suspect arrested

Ratchaprasong’s Erawan Shrine suspected bomber was arrested by Thai security forces in Sa Kaeo province near the Thai-Cambodian border in Aranyaprathet this afternoon.

The foreign man arrested today resembles the suspect who was seen in video wearing a yellow T-shit and leaving a backpack underneath a bench at Bangkok’s Erawan shrine on August 17, Thai police said Tuesday. A powerful bomb exploded moments later killing 20 people and injured 124 others.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha announced yesterday that a key suspect for the Erawan Shrine bombing has been arrested.
