Tourists jump into sea to escape ferry fire off Krabi

Scores of passengers including many foreign tourists were ordered to don life jackets and jump into the sea when a Phuket-bound ferry burst into flames that quickly engulfed it off Krabi’s Noppharat Thara beach on Wednesday afternoon.

The Ao Nang Princess 5 ferry with 104 passengers and crew onboard took only moments to burn to the waterline and sink.
