A mother and her two children were killed early Wednesday morning in a fire that razed their home in Kalasin’s Kuchinarai district.

Police were alerted at shortly after midnight to the fire and fire fighters wrestled with the flames for more than an hour before bringing the blaze under control. The house, which doubled as a grocery store, was totally destroyed.
